Product Engineer / Manager - Dataplex

OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate will embrace this position as the primary "go-to" resource responsible for the overall customer experience for NVELO's Dataplex product. Considerable technical and analytical expertise will be key to success in troubleshooting and managing support issues, resolving application related problems, and providing valuable product feedback to NVELO engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding user experience and gathering metrics to monitor overall product performance, and highlight issues/trends before they become problematic.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the Product Management team, this person will be the hands-on technical contact for our OEM customers and channel partners. Key responsibilities include management of production support, crises and on-call duties by phone, email, support forums or in person; investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application issues/failures; create and manage customer, support and licensing databases; and participate in testing and benchmarking efforts. Limited travel may be required. Performs other duties that may be assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Requires bachelor's degree in Engineering or related area
  • Graduate degree a plus
  • 4+ years of professional experience of directly applicable experience in software development, support or QA
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows OS
  • Experience with disk/storage technologies and SATA/ATA/SAS/SCSI storage protocols and PCIe SSD a plus

Storage System Application Engineer

Successful candidates will work in the System Software applications engineering team to produce and support the highest quality software in the industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the System Software team, this person will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of software product. The person will work closely with developers on the test plan and test execution of new product features. Responsibilities include functionality testing, reliability testing, and performance benchmarking. This customer-interfacing role will also analyze problems and maintain product performance data.

Senior Storage Kernel / Device Driver Engineer

Successful candidates will work in the System Software design team to architect, design and develop high performance kernel/device drivers or computing platforms that leverage NAND flash memory Specific areas of development may include Windows and Linux kernel, device drivers, daemons, libraries, command line tools, or embedded firmware.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the System Software team, this person will be responsible for the design and development of PC and server storage software. The person will take the product through the full software development lifecycle, from specification and architecture to design and algorithms, coding, testing (unit and integration) and documentation. Works closely with System Hardware Design Engineers and Product Engineers to solve cross functional design issues. Must be able to initiate original and creative technical efforts. Work closely with customers and partners.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Requires bachelor's degree in CS/CE.
  • Graduate degree a plus.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in development of Windows and/or Linux device drivers and related tools.
  • Background should include extensive knowledge of OS internals, kernel programming, file system filter drivers, storage stack and storage technologies.
  • Experience with disk/storage technologies and SATA/ATA/SAS/SCSI storage protocols and PCIe SSD a plus
