My system resets after a BSOD and I can't see the error

It would be helpful to get a picture of a BSOD the next time you get one. To do this, you need to set your system up so that it doesn't automatically reboot when a BSOD happens.

  • Right click on Computer, then click Properties

  • In the left hand pane, double click Advanced System Settings

  • Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings

  • Under System Failure, uncheck "Automatically Restart"

  • Under "Write debugging information", click on the arrow and choose "Small memory dump"

  • Click OK to save off your settings.

Mini dumps and pictures or notes from a BSOD are very helpful in debugging any problems you may have.
